The Performance Analysis of Telecommunication Systems (PATS) research group is part of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Antwerp. The group was founded in 1995. PATS performs basic, applied and contract research related to the performance analysis of telecommunication systems and the impact of performance on the architecture and the design of these systems.
The PATS research group is one of the groups that are involved in the Interdisciplinary Institute for Broadband Technology (IBBT) which was founded by the Flemish government on March 19th of 2004.

PATS Researcher nominated for IBM PhD Fellowship Award 2009-2010
IBM has announced that Hong Sun, PhD researcher at our PATS Group is nominated for the IBM PhD Fellowship Award 2009-2010. The IBM Ph.D. Fellowship Awards is an intensely competitive worldwide program which honors exceptional Ph.D. students in many academic disciplines and areas of study of mutual interest and to support IBM's commitment to diversity in the workplace. Hong Sun is nominated for his research on Mutual Assistance Community which aims to help the elderly people independently living. The research of Hong Sun is supervised under Dr. Vincenzo De Florio and Prof. Chris Blondia.The press release from IBM.
SyClick 09: Symposium on Click Modular Router
For the first time, a Click symposium will be organized to bring together users and developers of the Click Modular Router framework.This symposium is an opportunity for Click developers and researchers, and others interested in the wider field of networking, to get together to share knowledge and experiences. Over the course of two days attendees will be able to
